I had a dream the other night. I found myself in heaven, just soaking up the sights and the sounds of our eternal home. Love and Joy surrounded everything there -- hugging, kissing, tears of joy, incredible reunions all around.
In the distance I saw little groups of people gathered around what appeared to be very special people. Those who surrounded them were hugging them, crying, and saying "Thank you!"
A few of those who were being thanked were teachers. Some had several hundred crowded around them. There were groups of moms and dads, grandmothers and grand fathers surrounded by a tribe of sons and daughters. There were other relatives and next door neighbors who had at many times gone out of their way to do a good deed for someone, or many someones.
Group after group passed by. I thought my heart would burst. The Love of God was poured out on us all in that place. I could hear some of those being honored say, I am not special at all. In fact, you are special to me!
I looked ahead and noticed one more group of children - each one had a Bible in his hand, jumping up and down and praising God for the gift of His Word! There were thousands of children, maybe hundreds of thousands, who walked up to individual after individual saying thank you for their Bibles.
And then it hit me! This was the EEM group. The ones being thanked were those who sacrificed so that children who they had never met would have a Bible to read. It was a beautiful sight as the children read their favorite stories from the Bible to those who had never fully realize how wonderfully important their gift was.
And then, all the sudden, I heard a voice that waked me from my sleep and my dream. The voice said, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on! "Yes," says the Spirit, they will rest from their labor, for their deed will follow them."
There are many things that a person can do to made an impact on the world in which we live! But there are none are greater than making sure that one of Jesus' little ones have a Bible to read so that they can learn about how much Jesus loves them.
This Sunday, The Brenham Church of Christ will be joining churches from all over America to provide these Bible. Don't you want to be a part of this very Special Day. Only five dollars will purchase a Bible for one of these precious little ones! surely each one of us can spare five dollars, or 500 or 5000! Lets make a difference! Give generously!
Loving God... Loving each other
And the story never ends...
